I began first developing my skills in singing and dancing at the age of 5. I trained in various styles of dance, specializing in hip hop, jazz and tap. Applying my talent and passion for dance, I teaches students of all ages in many dance schools across Sydney, including the renowned Sydney Dance Company.
I have utilized my skills and knowledge of the entertainment industry to produce, direct, and choreograph my own live show titled “Turn Up The Music”. This production debuted in 2012 and is a modern and upbeat show paying tribute to artists such as Usher, Beyonce, Katy Perry and others.
I have challenged my self and pushed my ability to entertain people on XFACTOR Australia back in 2013, in which I was successful in making it to the top 24! I even returned in 2015 with the backing of my friends and partners at NeWest to take on that stage once more. Since that time I continued to perform for local and international audiences.
In 2013, I began to post videos of his choreography performed by the members of my band NeWest. These videos were well received by the public with multiple videos grossing more than 1 million views. In particular, his choreography to Jason Derulo’s ‘Talk Dirty’ and Silento’s ‘Watch Me’ (Whip/Nae Nae) have both received over 30 million views. Following the online success of my video to the song ‘Watch Me’, the artist Silento requested to include excerpts of my choreography in his official music video. This music video is now available to the public and I could be prouder to see myself and friends featured in it. With over 500,000 Subscribers and more than 100 million views on his YouTube channel, I am becoming a is a highly successful social media personality. With my success and professionalism was recognized this year when I was asked to speak at a seminar for GoogleHQ/YouTube Australia on how to successfully gain viewership. (It was also a really cool opportunity to also meet other very talented Australian and International YouTubers)
I believes anyone can dance and for this reason I have developed an adjoining channel ‘In ROD We Trust’ on YouTube dedicated to those who wish to extend their experience beyond simply watching my videos. On this channel people can watch and learn my choreography from free tutorials. I hope that this allows people from across the world to develop their dance skills in a fun and convenient way.
